One feature of the Mulberry ( http://www.cyrusoft.com/mulberry/index.html )
email client I really liked was the ability to have a "new mail" meta-folder
which contained a tree of folders that have new messages.

This top level folder contains sub-folders of accounts, which in turn contain
the folder hierachy for the account, but only show folders which currently have
new mail.

This is extremely usefull when you have alot of folders, but don't really want
to scroll up and down the folder list looking for those with new mail.

Simply adding an option to hide folders with no unread mail would achive the
same result for me.

I think this was resolved long ago with folder pane views all/unread/recent/favorites in TB2 (or even earlier 1.5, dunno)

if we consider this ask for the *unread* option, not only *new mail*

if so, should be marked resolved?
