Details

this bug covers issues found in the Firefox online menu reference at

http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/support/menu.html
a. Linux-specific change needed:

Tools > Options is Windows-only. on Linux it's Edit > Preferences...

b. several Mac-specific changeds needed:

Firefox menu
------------
About Mozilla Firefox
Preferences...
Services (not yet implemented?)
Hide Firefox
Hide Others
Show All
Quit Firefox

Window menu
-----------
Mimimize (not working)
Zoom (aka, maximize --also not working)
Bring All to Front (also not working)
[list of Firefox windows, by <title>]
File menu changes needed:

a. add Open Location btwn New Tab and Open File... this cmd focuses and selects
the Location Bar (same as Accel+L).

b. Send Page has been replaced with Send Link, which sends the URI of the
current page, not the entire page content.

c. Exit: On Linux this label is actually Quit. On Mac, there's no File
Exit/Quit, as Quit is located under the Firefox (application) menu.
Edit menu looks fine, except as noted in comment 0 that Preferences needs to be
added for Linux.

View menu has changed a bit:

a. Sidebar now only has two items, Bookmarks and History. Downloads is now its
own window, and is accessed from Tools.

b. Increase/Decrease Text Size has been replaced with the Text Size item, whose
flyout contains 3 items:

  Increase
  Decrease
  Normal

c. a new menu item, Page Style, has been added btwn the Text Size and Character
Encoding items. its flyout contains at least 2 items:

No Style (which removes any CSS)
basic style, or any/additional styles defined for that page.

d. Character Coding has been replaced with the label Character Encoding.
Go menu hasn't changed.

Bookmarks menu changed a little bit: Add to Bookmarks... has been replaced with
Bookmark This Page...

Tools menu has changed a little, too:

a. Read Mail and New Message items have been removed.

b. Options is only applicable to Windows.

Help menu changes:

a. For Internet Explorer Users only appears in Windows and Mac builds.

b. Spread Firefox has been replaced with Promote Firefox, even though it goes to
the same URI.

No, the page moved.

--> mozilla-com
Component: *.mozilla.org → www.mozilla.com
QA Contact: other-mozilla-org → www-mozilla-com
This is mozilla.org, not .com. Although the site was uploaded to .com, it's not linked to from anywhere on mozilla.com. I updated the File, Edit, and View menus for 1.5. I plan to update the rest of the page soon.

www.mozilla.com is the correct component. Please stop moving this bug.

I talked to rebron about this. All Firefox/Thunderbird support pages are moving to www.mozilla.com and the www.mozilla.org pages will be redirected there. A while ago, I filed bug 325102 about this.
Component: *.mozilla.org → www.mozilla.com
Reed (and everyone else on this bug) --

Looks like this was a miscommunication on our end here at MoCo. My apologies. To be clear, the intention behind the Support page on mozilla.com was to serve as a gateway page that linked to the support content that lives on mozilla.org. We don't have any current plans to strip out Firefox and Thunderbird support content from .org and migrate it to .com -- see the reasons at https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=325102. Feel free to ping me directly for questions on mozilla.com - why we did what we did, etc.

Thanks,
Paul
