Now that I've finally gotten around to making cvs-www (née gila) access work for
me, it's time to update some website docs, starting by making them easier to
test by converting http:// links to be relative (there's a decent number of such
links, if I recall correctly).

This isn't something to get to any time really soon, but cleaning up the links
would make working with the site a bit easier, methinks.  Besides, I need to
start maintaining this -- R.J.'s been getting email through the help-viewer site
recently. ;-)

Indeed! I did some minor cleanup a while ago (the front page was still
mentioning "Beta versions of Firefox Help"!), but the site still sucks. The
front page is cluttered, the "Discuss" and "Feedback" (how often is that used?)
pages should probably be removed, the "Bugs" page still references bugzilla on
mozdev (is there something left we want on b.m.o?), and yeah, well, "send email
to R.J. Keller" needs to changed as well.
Instead of using SSI, it should probably use templates like the rest of
mozilla.org as well.

The templates live in mozilla-org/html/, i.e. the toplevel directory. We don't
have access to that. We do have access to
mozilla-org/html/projects/help-viewer/topnav.inc though.

There was talk about a better template system, but I don't know if somebody is
working on that.
I just asked: bug 227847 comment 8.
What is left in this bug? As it seems SSI works perfectly fine.
