With the 1.8a4 final and some later 1.8a5 nightlies, I am seeing regular and
irritating crashes while I am just sitting reading a longish webpage (this AM it
crashed on a short webpage as I was trying to scroll down with the scroll wheel).

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Leave browser running
2. Wake from sleep and begin to browse
3. Stare at screen and watch spinning wheel start and then app crash.

Crash

Expected Results:
Nothing

I don't know if this is related to the separate theme problem I've been having
-- cannot switch themes or download new themes at the moment. Using Pinstripe;
any attempt to switch trashes entire chrome folder and Adblock etc.

Other thought -- it may be related to the security update from Apple -
30-Sep-2004. But I think I was experiencing the crashes (and definitely the
theme problems) before that.

Still, the normally rock solid InDesign CS crashed today, and I have gotten two
kernel panics on shutdown recently (extremely rare on my powerbook), so there
may be an underlying system issue.
Those four talkback incidents have totally different stacks.... (see
http://talkback-public.mozilla.org/)

I have a slightly different (but, seemingly related)
failure.

Running Mac OS X 1.3.?? on a dual 1.8 GHz G5,
Mozilla 1.7.5 with the Toy Factory theme fails
like this.

I launch and all is well. I can use it as much as I want to.
I leave Mozilla running and the computer goes to sleep.
When I return and wake it up, Mozilla is fine *except*
that I can no longer select/edit the web address
menu bar (which makes browsing difficult).

I can close the open Mozilla frames and create a new
frame (File/New) and the new frame works just fine
(NOTE: I do not need to exit Mozilla, just close the
frame).

This does not happen with the Mozilla 1.5 release.

Peter: can you try a newer (trunk) build?
I haven't seen this recently. Latest build I've got is 2005043010. I'd be ok
with marking WFM.
thanks.
