RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 256949

People

(Reporter: micrond, Assigned: darin.moz)

Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041001 Firefox/0.10.1
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041001 Firefox/0.10.1

To display a web page, the proxy dialog box for username and passwork pops-up
many times. In fact, it seams to pop before each element of the page. It look
like the proxy connection autorisation is lost somewhere after each http request
forcing me to reenter proxy username and password quite often making Firefox
unusable sadly.

I've test the same setup, on the same machine with IE 6 and the dialog is only
displayed once after the program starts.

I've worked at location wich also had a proxy with username and password with
version 0.9.3 and Firefox worked just fine. However, I didn't test this old
location with Firefox PR 0.10.1.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.start Firefox with a http proxy set up asking for username and password.
2.load a page
3.re-enter proxy username and password before each page element is loaded

Actual Results:
The page is display correctly but I feel tired to enter my password oviously.

Expected Results:
The page should display completely after asking proxy username and password only
once when the program starts.
