If I do a default install, I get RSS and Talkback. If I do a custom install and
don't make any changes, I get just Talkback. I believe these two should match,
that is, the custom install should default to matching the default install.
I, for example, only use the custom install to change the install directory
location. Why do I get a different installed set of features from a standard
install?

that's weird. RSS is chosen by default for me when I do a custom install...

Scott, is it selected and grayed out? If so, that's the result of installing on
top of a previous install. We don't have the ability to uninstall components so
if you install on top of an old install that had one of those components, you
get it in the custom (and you can't delete).
