(Whiteboard: [asaP2])

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Konqueror/3.2; Linux) (KHTML, like Gecko)
Build Identifier: 1.0pre before Oct. 1

My installation of the first public release of firefox 1.0pre works well.
Yesterday I updated pango to 1.4.1-1, then 1.0pre updating fails, and newly
downloaded 1.0pre on 10 Oct. fails to start. os & arch: FC2 with AMD Athlon xp
2500+

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. updated pango to 1.4.1-1 on FC2
2. update firefox 1.0pre failed, incompatibility reported.
3. download the latest 1.0pre version with security fix, but after
installation, can not start in console.

stderr shows error:
(QFA)Talkback error: Can't initialize.

a small window with yellow background the title
of "Gecko". Two lines of text draws in window center:

      title="&mainWindow.title;"
--------------------"

.
Actual Results:
dear firefox, I miss you.

Expected Results:
doest it caused by newly updated pango?
BTW, my env variables LANG and LC_ALL are both set as "zh_CN", after
installation, the console says:

./firefox-installer

Qingyou, can you please uninstall Firefox, install Firefox 1.0 and try to update
that?

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01".

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
Thank you for your help in this matter.

Sorry for my laziness. I've changed to FC3 for a long while.
I did un-install firefox and install later version(s),
I can remember the "bug" disappeared.
