One of the things that people ask me about Firefox is how to change the download
directory. I think it's best that by default it asks you where to download to,
instead of downloading to the desktop by default.

This patch should fix it. It just needs diff'ing.
this is our desired behaviour at this point. It has been discussed recently,
and Ben reiterated that we're going to ship with this default. We're certainly
not going to change things just before 1.0 without some sort of overwhelming
negative response coming out of PR. There are some people who aren't fans,
sure, but this feedback is relatively minor.

Also, your patch is wrong, changing the pref in firefox.js would be the right
fix if we were going to change this.
