User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030624 MlsProxy2.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5, 1.6 1.7)/firefox 1.0-PR Gecko/20030624 MlsProxy2.0 The release 1.4 is the last stable mozilla release that I can use (is the one I'm using now for writing this bug) all the other releases 1.5, 1.6, 1.7 and firefox 1.0-PR crash unpredictably my PC (not even CTRL+ALT+CANC works). The crash happens loading any web pages (not always the same page, not always at the same point, not always on multiple tabs, not always moving mouse or wheel ...) but it happens not more than 15 minutes after starting the browser (sometimes after few seconds). Probably the problem started when I expanded my 128Mb RAM with another block of 256 Mb, anyway mozilla is the only application that fails, it seems to me a problem in memory management (from 1.5 on). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.just use releases from 1.5 on 2.and load any web page 3.at least for 15 minutes Actual Results: PC completely freezes, only thing I can do is switch power off and on Expected Results: don't crash and freeze PC Theme: modern theme PC configuration: Windows XP Pro/SP2, AMD Duron 1Ghz, nvidia GEforce 4 MX440, RAM 384 Mb (128+256)

Have you tried upgrading and creating a new clean mozilla profile?

Yea, I created a brand new profile on Firefox 1.0 - PR but it freezed in the same way.

> PC completely freezes, only thing I can do is switch power off and on
Mozilla itself may or may not be doing something wrong that triggers this, but
the freeze is not Mozilla's fault. Mozilla can not cause a hardware freeze.
That privilege falls to your OS (usually video drivers) or faulty hardware.
