Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040913 Firefox/0.10.1
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040913 Firefox/0.10.1

If you press CTRL-F you can paste from the clipboard into the find window.

However if you access it using '/' paste fails to work.

As an aside, it would be nice to be able to access the 'find next' and 'find
previous' buttons via the keyboard and not have to move the mouse and click.

Neil.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

Expected Results:
slash should work the same as pressing CTRL-F

I could not find any similar bugs in bugzilla. There were a few related to the
find option but were not the same.

What does WFM mean
ah yes. sorry. surely it doesn't use up that much space to type 'works for me' :)

doesn't work for me. but surely you have a different version of firefox than me.

They are not the same thing: ctrl-f triggers Find, which puts the focus in the
find bar's input, so you can paste immediately with ctrl-v, while / triggers
Find As You Type, which shows the find bar but leaves focus in the page, so if
you want to paste something into the find bar you first need to move focus to it.
