User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8a5) Gecko/20041001 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8a5) Gecko/20041001 20040924-cal when right clicking a calendar and Selecting Delete Calendar a box with three buttons shows up, it says: Delete Calendar Delete Calendar and File Cancel The question here is, if the calendar resides on a server, will it be deleted or not if a person selects "Delete Calendar and File"? this box is not very good. at the minimum the current box should be change to: Delete Calendar Delete Calendar and local file Cancel or depending on the action taken on "Delete Calendar and File" to: Delete Calendar Delete Calendar and remote file Cancel however i would like to see something like this in the future: Delete Calendar Delete Calendar and local file Delete Calendar and remote file Delete Calendar, local file and remote file Cancel Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:

I guess it would delete the remote file if the user had privileges to do so. However, on the newer builds (don't know since when), you can't choose whether you'd like to delete the calendarfile or not (At least not on Sunbird). So, I guess this bug should be closed. I disagree. Really, we should be prompting the user with some type of question. I think this bug actually should be left alone until bug 298373 is solved. Then we can re-examine it.

Is this bug the same as bug 351499 now? At the moment we only have the "Delete Calendar" menu item and the dialog generally calls the action "Unsubscribe". Maybe the bug should be morphed to "Deleting vs. unsubscribing from a remote calendar" and deal with an option to delete a calendar on a remote server.
Duping this to 351499 since that is a more recent issue and gets to the heart of the underlying problem.
