When there is a image-file (jpg,gif, png) attachment Thunderbird only show half
of the image. If there are several files then the last file is only shown to
half. When the attachement is save ("Save as") and opened in another
image-viewer then the imaged has the right size but half of the image is not
shown (probably corrupted)

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. send a message with a jpg attachment to yourself
2. look at the e-mail
3. see if the attachement is shown correctly.

Actual Results:  
half of the image is corrupted

Expected Results:  
show the whole image

I have the same problem, always the last image that get croped.

This is realy a big problem as I use thunderbird at work and often get images
attached to display error messages and failures in layout and it is very
annoying to have to open outlook to see the complete image.

I have attached an example of the problem.

Is there no one else who have this problem?

I use thunderbird 1.02 and uses IMAP4 to comunicate with an exchange server 2000.

We have several persons on our office who have experienced the same trouble.

Could it be a problem with IMAP och Exchange?

I would be glad to help identify the problem and to help confirm this bugg as I
almost every day have to use Outlook to retrieve an image that was sent to me.

What needs to be done to have this problem confirmed so that work on a solution
can start?

Attachment: View source of letter with problem

I made some more checking on the problem and found some more information.

When viewing the source of the message I found that it is cut off in the middle
of an base64 block for the image.

Check the end of the attachement to see the problem.

Could it be a problem getting the email through IMAP?

yes, it's a bug in the imap part of the exchange server. You might be able to
get an upgrade to the exchange server that fixes the problem.

Is there any more info on this some where.

We search for any information on Exchange server and Imap and found nothing.

I tried to access my mailbox with eudora and IMAP and there all images works
perfectly.

So my question is, WHY.

If there is an error in exchange IMAP it should show in all imap clients not
only in TB.

Or maybe there is a way around the problem.

Could you please show any references arount this exchange bug you refer to?
