264010 - accessing bookaccessing imported IE favourites (network shared folder) in bookmarks menu is slow

Bookmarks menu works OK until try to use Imported IE favourites sub menu,
program crashes with bookmark menu stil displayed

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.click bookmarks menu
2.move mouse down to hover over Imported IE favourites
3.program stops responding



Expected Results:  
opened up a sub menue to the right of the initial drop down menu

Can you provide any talkback ids?  Where you installed Firefox, check the
components directory and run talkback.exe  Tell us any ids you see there from
the time of the crashes.

Or is this actually hanging, and not crashing?

I'm not sure if it hangs or crashes
 further experiments suggest that it hangs for approx 70 seconds and then pull
down menu disappears from the screen, but full functionality is restored and I
can access IE favourites perfectly
when it is hanging the pull down Menu remains in foreground in front of all
other apps, hourglass mouse pointer in front of firefox app window, normal
pointer in front of menu list.
Talkback reports nothing

I have just deleted a network share from my favourites list ( in the internet
explorer favourites) and the problem is fixed - perhaps something to do with
length of time it takes to verify a connection to a network shared folder?

changing summary per comment 3 and lowering severity - it doesn't crash or hang.
Could you explain in more detail what kind of bookmark is causing the slowdown?

Since Deleting the bookmark I have been unable to recreate the problem, but the
"offending" bookmark was to a shared folder on another PC. I don't know if the
host pc  of the offending shared folder was switched on / hung / crashed when I
was trying to access my imported favourties folder.

I have recreated to bookmark both within firefox and by re-importing from
Internet explorer.
