The beta google groups page is being rendered incorrectly. The text in the
center frame is overlapping on the right side frame.

it overlaps in FF and IE
it doesn't overlap in Opera

The PRE element forces the left table to overlap the right-floated table when
the window is narrow enough.

IE and Opera do the same. In the original testcase, Opera makes the right table
(containing the IFRAME with the ads) obscure the right portion of the text from
the left table, instead of overlapping it. Still, basically the same. 

Probably INVALID.

If the text and float overlap, the text should be above the float, so what Opera
is doing is simply wrong.

The same problem happens in spread firefox webpage also. Please check the
attachment. The number of downloads is hidden by the banner.

Doesn't make this less invalid.  The spreadfirefox page has a lot of CSS errors
on it.  Please report problems with that page to the maintaners of that page.
