User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041001 Firefox/0.10.1
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041001 Firefox/0.10.1

After a few days of using Firefox, CPU usage starts to rise extremally even for
simple tasks, like scrolling the page or opening the preferences window.
Rendering of a long page (like Slashdot at threshold 0) can take minutes. It
looks like the slowness is associated with number/size of pages viewed in one
browsing session. Restarting the browser helps.
I was observing the problem in 0.10.1 and 0.9 versions (didn't test others).

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run Firefox.
2. Read a lot of long websites without restarting the browser for several days.

Actual Results:
Page rendering and GUI is using enormous amounts of CPU power.

Expected Results:
The browser should work as fast, as just after starting.

Debian GNU/Linux Sarge, libc 2.3.2, kernel 2.4.27, gtk 2.4.9.
Same for me.
I run FF for a long time and usually middle click links on a forum page to open
them in a new tab ( in background ) and it takes several seconds for each page (
to create the tab ).

So I middle click on a link, and then for 1-3 seconds the UI is frozen. I can't
scroll, switch tabs , select menus or anything. Very annoying.

I have v0.10.1/win2000.
Still there. I'm using 1.0 from firefox.pl.

If I use firefox for a long time then firefox does very slow. I must then
restart firefox. I use firefox 1.0 on Knoppix 3.6
I also see this behavior in 1.0 on gentoo (Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686;
en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041119 Firefox/1.0). I need to restart firefox every
couple of days, depending on usage, because the program runs slower and slower.
I give up when it takes more than five seconds to render a page.
