User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040913 Firefox/0.10.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a4) Gecko/20040907 Mozilla Sunbird/0.2a When creating or editing an Event Alarm, the combo box which allows the user to specify Minutes/Hours/Days won't change value. Even if the user selects "Hours", it immediately reverts back to reading "minutes". This worked in previous version of sunbird. As a workaround, the user can just enter all times in minutes (eg, 120 minutes instead of 2 hours), but this is impractical for large offsets. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a new event 2. In the event edit window, enable the alarm checkbox. 3. Try to select "hours" from the combo box. Actual Results: The alarm offset should be measured in hours, and "hours" should be displayed in the combo box. Expected Results: The combo box continues to read "minutes".
WFM (Works For Me) Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041001 Firefox/0.10.1 + 2004091012-cal Could someone check if this is Sunbird specific? (I am guessing not as I think we'd have heard more about it). Are you using a non-default theme, Keith?

(In reply to comment #1) > Are you using a non-default theme, Keith? Nope, I'm using the default one that comes with Sunbird (I can attach screenshot for verification, if that's helpful). If there's a chance that this is an installation problem, I can also try uninstalling & reinstalling.

apols: I misread your message, I wasn't doubting what you said about the theme; I thought the screenshots would show the problem. only other thing I can think to ask is how are you selecting from the drop down? arrow keys? first letter? mouse? (though all work for me) there is a test build for windows dated 20041008 (which I am now using) in http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/calendar/xpi/windows/ which may be worth trying

Sorry about the miscommunication! I've posted a screencap video of the bug in action at: http://catgufu.mit.edu/bonawitz+mozbugs/sunbird-screencap.zip . It's a 390kb zipped avi. I also tried installing the calendar xpi as a firefox tool (this is for the calendar component, not the sunbird standalone, as I understand). The bug is not present in that install. I guess that means that the bug falls into one of three classes: fixed in CVS; specific to sunbird while not present calendar tool; or specific to my sunbird installation (eg, the installation is corrupted somehow).

Well, I just uninstalled and reinstalled Sunbird, same version as before: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a4) Gecko/20040907 Mozilla Sunbird/0.2a The bug no longer happens; the minutes/hours/days combo seems to work exactly as it should. It looks like my installation just became corrupted somehow. Thanks for your time!
