User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040910
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040910

Firefox program starts, the main windows is on but the program it totally
unfunctionnal : i can't click on any menu or type url or choose any boorkmarks.
it doesn't even show my selected bookmarks.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. first i had some problem with the weatherfox 0.5 extension which i
uninstalled and reinstalled
2. as i liked this extension i though it could conflict with other extensions so
i uninstalled most of them (included some java stuff, and adblocker)
3. to check if my weatherfox extension finally worked i had again to shut down
and restarted fixefox, but this time i get the main windows OK - but no
bookmarks and none of the functions works (see details)
4. so i tried to uninstall firefox and reinstall it. but it doesn't change
anything - it remains totally unusable, like frosen.
Actual Results:
firefox is totally unusable.

Expected Results:
Simply be functionnal.
deleting your profile will fix it.
(backup the stuff you want to use again)
dear peter,
tks for the support
but it's a bit dramatic for a fix : "deleting your profile will fix it"
i work as administrator on this computer so i cannot delete my profile
futhermore, on other profiles firefox works but doesn't accept any extensions
could you please help me some other way ?
eric

Peter meant firefox profile, not windows user profile.

see http://mozilla.org/products/firefox/support/profile

you probably cannot remember what extensions you uninstalled, can you?

Earth to developers. I also encountered this problem.
1) install RSSinfo, to try out. Don't like. Uninstall.
Result: Everything seems Ok.
2) install Sage 1.3. Has a nicer layout, and more functionality. Unfortunately,
I could care less about having random news bits pushed to my browser, so I
uninstall.
Result: Oops. Bookmarks don't work. Well, they work for a while if I select
"Mangae Bookmarks" then put the manager away. Then they don't work again. Also,
the 'Sage' frame on the left side of the browser won't go away. At all. Even if
I click the 'X', or try to push the window shut. Oh, and did I say that
bookmarks quit working again?

Really, this is irritating. I even tried uninstalling Firefox 1.0, then
installed it again. Still bad.
>(included some java stuff, and adblocker)
Did you uninstall AdBlock using its Uninstall button - or did you use Extension
Manager uninstall function?
