when I click anyone of the slide from the
URL(http://cn.news.yahoo.com/slideshow/index.html), and pop up a new window to
show  slides, but the status bar should show the number of slides like
1/6,2/6,...6/6.(if there are six slides) The IE from MS can do it OK. But
firefox is disabled.

need to properly wake up.
A lot of malformed javascript
document.all. stuff

this is not javascript but IE specific script
(Yahoo isn't to good in conforming to W3C rules)

Yeah, this still happens. Most obvious thing I see in the Error Console:

Not sure if that's exactly what's causing it or not, but someone should definitely let Yahoo know their counter isn't working on the slideshows.

INCOMPLETE due to lack of activity since the end of 2009.

If someone is willing to investigate the issues raised in this bug to determine whether they still exist, *and* work with the site in question to fix any existing issues, please feel free to re-open and assign to yourself.
