User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040930 Firefox/0.10.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040930 Firefox/0.10.1 It would be nice if the system tray icon would indicate the priority of the highest-priority message from the newly received. It could be a gray icon for low priority, normal for normal priority and red or normal with blinking exclamation mark for high priority. This combined with some rules to change the priority of the received messages would allow me to mark all mail list messages as low-priority and all messages from people at my office as high, so I won't have to check what is in the new mail every 5 minutes. Perhaps should be another request, but it would be also nice to have a rule to customize the notification, e.g. systray icon + baloon (the current), systray icon only or nothing at all (as for the messages in the junk folder). Another idea is to make the rule/icons per folder and not per priority. I'm not sure which will be the best way to tackle it. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Get a mail from a mail list 2. Get a mail from your coleague 3. Get a mail from your boss Actual Results: 1. The BIFF indicator and the systray icon shows 2. BIFF indicator shows 3. BIFF indicator shows Expected Results: 1. A rule should assign low priority and the systray icon should display a low priority icon. Possibly another rule would suppress the BIFF indicator. 2. The BIFF indicator would show up, the systray icon would change to normal message. 3. A rule should assign high priority, the BIFF indicator would show up, the systray icon would change to high priority. Possibly another rule could display dialog box in case I'm away or fullscreen.

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01". This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code. While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug (given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more reproduction information if you have it. If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved. Thank you for your help in this matter. I think this would be mostly handled by bug 11040, or possibly one of the bugs in comment 1.
