Steps to Reproduce:
1. Tools->Options.
2. Click Advanced.
3. tick or untick "Force links that open new windows to open in" checkbox.
4. Click back to any tab on the left, e.g. General, Privacy,Web Features and
Downloads.
5. Click OK.
6. Open Options again, and the checkbox does not remember the state that chosen
at last.

Confirming

If you press OK right after setting it is changed, but not if you go to any of
the other tabs first

(couldn't find a dupe .... yet)

This bug seems to be fixed in Firefox 1.0RC2.

Correction: after looking the panel again, I found that the option is actually
removed from the panel. I've set the option on before. Now since the checkbox is
gone, I have no way to set the option off!

Maybe now we can only set it on/off with about:config?

There's a hidden pref to enable this UI again, but the overall functionality was
a little glitchy so it was hidden/turned off for 1.0

The bug probably still exists.

Yup, go to about:config and set "browser.link.open_newwindow" to 3 (for turning
on). The default is 2. Not sure about other values.

I think this bug should be closed, since the option window/panels was changed
already in the latest releases (e.g. 1.5 Beta 1).

The current checkbox works properly.
