Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040913
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040913

Situation:
Multiple cards in address book have the same email address, but different names
(two people who share an email address). Address book names are displayed as
"Last , First".

Problem:
When dragging one of the cards from the main address book to a mailing list,
sometimes the wrong "Last, First" name (but correct display name and email
address) is displayed in the list.

Note:
Of course, this problem is resolved if email addresses are not duplicated in the
address book, OR if the mailing list is viewed by "Display Name". However, it
is very helpful to be able to keep separate cards for individuals who share an
email address, and ALSO be able to sort long mailing lists by last name.

Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Set address book to show names as "Last, First" (I don't think this probably
makes a difference, but it's how I'm set up)
2.Create two cards with the same email address but different names.
3.Create a mailing list
4.Add one of the cards to a mailing list.
5.Click once on the mailing list to display it in the main window, and see of
the correct Last,First name appears. If there is no problem, try adding the
other card instead.

Actual Results:
Incorrect Last,First name appears on the card just added to the mailing list.
(The name from the OTHER card sharing the email address appears)

bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a

you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.
