Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1) Opera 7.60 [en] (IBM EVV/3.0/EAK01AG9/LE) Build Identifier: 1.0PR full install version...cannot get build identifier string from moz I did install FF 0.9 and then install 1.0PR over it without uninstalling FF0.9. I never had any problems with it until after I updated some extensions. I thought it might be because of the FF1.0PR installing over an old version but then I uninstalled the whole mess and I still get the same result. I cannot click on the UI. I click on the URL bar and I get a scrollbar that sits on the left side of the FF window. I cannot click on any of the menus at the top of the FF window. I can interact with the menus using alt+<key> keys but graphically FF doesn't show the menus being opened at all. I can type something in the search box but nothing shows up. FF connects with Google but shows the same blank page. For a graphic example please look here: http://bigblue.nonmundane.org/~pchoi/ohno.jpg Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. install strange extensions<?> 2. carelessly install FF 1.0PR over 0.9<?> 3. uninstall said jumbled installation and watch the same result occur? Actual Results: I'm not sure what the cause is so the above steps are actually just guesses. Expected Results: Run and open to firefox's default homepage with responsive UI.

Paul, the bug is not likely to be fixed unless you can explain why it happened a little better than that. What extensions did you have installed? If you disable them does the problem still occur?
You see Blake, I can't even get to the extensions window or anything anymore. I remembering enabling the flashblocker extension and then I was okay for a while...then after I rebooted I get a blank page. I'm sorry I can't give you anymore details since I can't get to the current settings or anything where I have to use the graphical UI to FF. If you'd like you can vnc to this computer and take a look personally but I'm sure you don't have time for that. It's possible that my settings on this computer are just all muxed to hell. I can't disable/enable extensions, open the download window or anything. :(

Try to run Firefox in safe mode and see if you can reproduce the bug.
Attempted in safe mode - same result. Attempted after complete reinstall - same result. :(
Maybe it was related to the defective CPU I installed? I reinstall the old CPU and I can run Firefox/Mozilla normally again. :-\ WFM
