Details
(Whiteboard: [filter-mgmt][waiting on bug 454589])
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041001 Firefox/0.10.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041001 Firefox/0.10.1 I deleted a folder and was warned that the referencing filters would be inactivated. Since it was for an old mailing list I'm no longer subscribing to, I intended to delete the filter anyway, and figured it'd be easy to find in the filter dialog because I could look for the dot in the list. No dot. Had to figure it out by name and go digging for it. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a filter which references a subfolder 2. Right-click on the parent folder and choose Delete Folder 3. A warning is given "you have a filter that references <subfolder>. If you continue, this filter will be inactivated. Are you sure you want to delete?" 4. Choose Yes. Parent folder (and contents) moves to the trash 5. Open Filters dialog. 6. Observe that the above-mentioned filter is still active (has a checkmark instead of a dot). Actual Results: Filter was still active Expected Results: Filter should have been inactive

This still exists, in bug 454589.
I propose duping to that one, as it already has some dupes (admittedly done by me, so you can reconsider). This bug says about SUBfolders, but it may be basically the same problem.

perhaps the patch that eventually lands in perhaps should fix this, but I'm a little concerned this special case might get missed. so I think keep this open, and verify after bug 454589 is fixed.
