404 page should give link to history of the page that's missing not the 404
page, unless someone goes to the 404 page directly.
If the page has history it should be a 410, not a 404. In that light this bug
would be invalid.
Now it's valid request again. Summary changed to make it a request for 410.
Depends on: 266049
Summary: 404 page should give link to history of the page that's missing not the 404 page, unless someone goes to the 404 page directly → 410 page should give link to history of the page that's missing not the 410 page, unless someone goes to the 410 page directly
We still show it on the 410 page:
 <http://www.mozilla.org/410.html>
Severity: blocker → minor
Assignee: www-mozilla-org → nobody
QA Contact: danielwang → www-mozilla-org
Do you all have a URL that can be used to test this? I.e., a page that has been deleted and already has a 410 set for it.

Thanks. Filed bug 325138 in server-ops to fix not using the 410.html for 410/gone pages.
This seems fixed (WFM). Pages that are supposed to be 410 (such as http://www.mozilla.org/help-wanted.html) are showing the appropriate link to the history. If there is some other issue of which I am not aware, please reopen this bug.
