Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1) Build Identifier: all available version including latest Firebird release Any Mozilla based web browser behind a squid proxy with enabled digest authentication does not remember the users credentials. Even if the password manager option is enabled the credentials have to be entered several time for a single web page (for example news.google.com). The squid proxy used is a squid/2.5.STABLE4 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start the Browser 2. Navigate to news.google.com 3. The browser requires you to enter the user credentials many, many times Actual Results: I get bored and use IE Expected Results: The software should remember the current proxy user's session after the first time the user credentials were entered We tested this with different OS as basis. The same error can be reproduced with several Linux distributions as client systems as well as with Windows 2000 and Windows XP. We tried older as well as newer mozilla based browsers. Even the latest Firefox build did not change its behavior.

Hadi, Many people use Digest authentication with Mozilla without any trouble. Something must be unusual in this case. Can you please assist us by generating a Mozilla HTTP log? Instructions are here: http://www.mozilla.org/projects/netlib/http/http-debugging.html Thanks!

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01". This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code. While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug (given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more reproduction information if you have it. If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved. Thank you for your help in this matter.
