Hi All,

Please note: this question concerns Firefox, not Thunderbird.

Help!

I have a customer with FF 1.0RC 10.1 on w2k-p, sp4. She uses Hotmail
for her web eMail. Problem: she she recieves a jpg image inside a message,
the image shows as a blank box. If she right clicks on it and selects
"View Image" the image shows. If she try presses the back arrow,
the image will now show in the eMail window. She has to repeat this for
every image.

She refuses to use FF until this is fixed.  :-(  :-(  :-(

Tony,

Images show correctly for me in Hotmail messages both on Windows and Linux.

Could your customer have "Load images for the originating website only" checked
in her preferences?  This may explain why she can see them during "view image".
 But it wouldn't explain why she can see them again when pressing the back button.

   It is my recollection that is was not checked.  I will check with her.

It's not only on hotmail, and it doesn't always happen(just to make it easy...)!
it's on other sites as well. unchecking "Load images for the originating website
only" doesn't fix it(not that it was ever on, but i've flicked it on and then
bakc off again to no avail). it's almost random to which images will or won't
show. sometimes right clicking "show image" (or going "view image, letting it
load then going back to the page) will show the image, and then some (not all)
other similar images which weren't showing will show. it's bloody annoying!
almost considering going back to explorer so I can view pages properly.

Hi All,

   I was back at the customer's site yesterday.  Before upgrading her from 1.0
to 1.0.2, I did an add/remove programs on FF, then manually removed the
Firebird and Mozilla directories from Application Data.  (I only saved the
bookmarks.)

   The customer reported to me today that the problem had been fixed.

   Please close this bug (I am the reporter).
