User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030516 Mozilla Firebird/0.6
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030516 Mozilla Firebird/0.6

I just upgraded from this version of Firebird to the latest Firefox build. In
doing so, I lost both my network settings and my (dissertation) bookmarks, and
Firebird had been deleted so I couldn't look either up. Thankfully a friend
introduced me to System Restore, but all the same it would be less of a headache
without this happening.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. System restore back to Firebird installation
2. Install Firefox
3.

Actual Results:
Firefox loaded. The bookmarks were blank. The network settings were default.
Firebird was nowhere to be found.

Expected Results:
Firefox loaded. The bookmarks and network settings were as they were in
Firebird. A question box asks me if I want to remove firebird.
There were some profile updates between FB0.6 und FF0.8. The default profile
directory was moved from %Appdata%\Phoenix to %Appdata%\Mozilla\Firefox. If your
profile is located at this position you only have to copy all files into the new
profile. After the next start of FF all your profile data should be back. They
are not lost!

There was no profile merging because we were on a pre beta phase.
