the note text area in events and task should be larger (have more visible rows)
instead of todays 4 rows i would like to see at least 7 row.
or, alternativly, if the event/task windows is is resized in height this should
have effect on the note text area.

at least 7 visible rows

This conflicts with complaints that the dialogs are too large
(Bug 243785), so the default size is not likely to get larger.
I'm not sure about making the dialog resizable with a persistent size.

I would love to see this come through, but a second solution would be to make
the "Calendar Event" dialog resizable. Please change severity to "Enhancement".

Works for me using Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20060507 Mozilla Sunbird/0.3a2.

The event/task dialog in Sunbird and Lightning is resizeable since several months. The description field (formerly known as 'notes') will grow with the dialog.
