Is this bug 36545 ? (talkback won't work with authenticating proxy) Reporter, Talkback doesn't use your settings from your browser. It's a separate product (and it's not written by us either). It will appear *after* a crash (trying to send the error-report to moziila.org), but I can't see here what caused it.
So are you having problems with Firefox or with QFA?
I am having the same problem, Firefox crasher, QFA creates error log, but there is no Incident ID # showing, I have at least 4 crash results that are in queue. The QFA does not send them, although it does try, I then get the following error "The Agent is unable to connect to the Server. Please check your proxy settings or try again in a few seconds." Firefox is crashing all the time, never happened before, just in the past week. I have lost my entire profile. I am running AVG anti-virus and Zone Alarm, if that means anything. I have DSL.
I too have been having this problem with FireFox for some time now. FF crashes, the talkback agent appears, I fill out the details, attempt to send it. The result is the message mention by the others. As I recall, this used to work with Mozilla Suite. I am connected via cox.net broadband, using Eset's Nod32 antivirus program and ZoneAlarm Pro, version 6.0.631.003 (latest version). The failure has occurred with past versions as well.
Same for me. Talkback not able to send reports. Same error message. I do not have proxy, and Talkback configuration indicates no proxy. As long I remember, I always had problem with Talkback, never able to send reports.
(In reply to comment #5) Running Packetyzer, I can see connection to <mothra.mozilla.org> and then answer form this server: >Bad request >Your browser sent a query this server could not understand.. Why talkback server does not understand query from Talkback agent?
This screen appears just when browsing to some pages (no pattern): "The Mozilla Quality Feedback Agent gathers predefined technical information about Firefox and sends it back to the Mozilla software development team so we can improve future versions. Using the agent is simple - just use this setup wizard to initialize the agent. Click Next to continue. If you do not want to run the Agent right now, click Cancel. You can run this setup wizard by clicking on the Agent icon in the Mozilla Utilities directory." then, about 2-3 seconds later, the crash occurs: firefox.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. Unhandled exception in firefox.exe 0xC0000005: Access Violation This happens EVERY time the Feedback setup screen appears. I have reported this bug before, but I cannot find the bug anymore. Having recently updated to FF 2.0.0.11, I've had one FF crash. When presented with the talkback screens I filled them out and clicked Send. I was surprised to see it was sent without the problem that has been reported here.
Allison also reports "I have XP now and no problemo with Firefox 2.0." => WFM
