User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041020 Firefox/1.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041020 Firefox/1.0 I am attaching a tiff file showing the rendering problem. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Firefox 2. Load URL 3. Fiddle with the page width until rendering gets messed up
Most probably a duplicate of bug 239701 (a dupe of that bug reported on the same URL as this one: bug 261251). Not resolving as DUPLICATE yet because I can't reproduce the effect on the lower GIFs (only on the tabs), and because the reporter hasn't indicated that he's using a low color depth.
Hi, I am using a high color depth. The distortion the occurs on the lower part of the page does seem to be identical to the tab mangling, so I am fine with marking this bug as a duplicate.
Just to clarify: is your display set to "thousands of colors" or "millions of colors"? Bug 239701 only occures with "thousands of" (or 256) colors.
I thought my display was set to millions, but it was, indeed, set to thousands. One of my daughter's video games must has changed the setting. So, yes, this can be marked DUPLICATE.
