if I try to reorder the the tree structure go away

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. subscrive to a newsgroup
2. download the header of the post
3. reorde them by date

Actual Results:  
the tree structure disapper

Expected Results:  
the tree structure must be kept

How do you "reorder them by date" -- by clicking on the Date column header?
Quick workaround: use  View | Sort by | Date  instead.

To change the behavior, tho, you need to change a hidden preference; see
bug 219787 comment 43.
