Firefox 1.0PR is causing my computer to crash and go down hard. In the middle of
browsing I will get a blue screen and then the systems will reboot. I have not
been able to capture any log information on the crashing. I'm running Windows XP
with service pack 2. Firefox was installed after the service pack. I have not
detected a pattern in the 8 crashes I have had, but I was serfing the web when
the crashes happend each time.

The blue screen is windows, not FF.
uninstall all FF instances and rename your profile.
Install FF1.0RC1 , w/o extensions/themes and see if it doesn't crash anymore
