When trying to subscribe to the newletter at http://www.gapingvoid.com/ the
mailer hangs forever when sending the subscribtion request with an empty body
but works OK with a few characters typed into the body.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to http://www.gapingvoid.com/
2. Click on subscribe to newsletter
3. mailto: message composition open 
4. edit REMOVECAPS from the to address
5. Leave body blank
6. Click send

Actual Results:  
Hangs forever in sending mail (SMTP)

Expected Results:  
Should have sent the email

If a few characters are typed in the body of the message it sends OK
