I can't confirm that. Could you test with a current nightly build and a fresh profile?

ok, found a nightly build at 'http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-trunk/'. --> "Gecko/20041025 Firefox/0.9.1+". (Is this a newer version than above?) Nevertheless the bug disappeared! regards, Peter

For the release of FF 1.0 it would be better to test a nightly out of the branch. Please try a build from http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-0.9/

I tried build 'Gecko/20041026 Firefox/1.0'. That build is better but bug is still there. Now it takes more tries to reproduce. A good way is: 1. open browser in new window and load above URL 2. repeat step (1.) one to three times (and have open up to four windows) 3. click in web page on "Kollektion" and choose "Produktübersicht" 4. change window 5. click in web page on "Kollektion" and choose "Produkte in 3D" Now it hangs again (99% CPU time).

Ok, on a fresh Windows installation I can confirm it with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041026 Firefox/1.0 Should this happen while the O2C-Player isn't installed (http://www.o2c.de/uk/index.html)? I don't think because I hadn't this plugin installed before.

I don't have O2C-Player installed either. (I would like to but it seems it is not possible to install the Netscape version of O2C-Player plugin. On try nothing happens. But this should be a separate problem/bug.)

Peter, I can't reproduce this bug with a current Firefox build. Could you check it with the upcoming DeerPark Alpha 2 release or a current nightly build? Perhaps you will get in trouble with the embedded plugin box, if you don't have installed the O2C plugin. This is covered in bug 299583.

Henrik, the web page has changed. To me it seems there is no chance to recheck the reported problem again. // Changing a web page is another way to solve a bug ;-)

Peter, is this issue still valid for trunk or 2.0 builds?

Henrik, the web page which has caused the problem is not the same anymore. Therefore I don't have a chance to reproduce the problem. From my point of view the report can be closed.

(In reply to comment #10) > Henrik, the web page which has caused the problem is not the same anymore. > Therefore I don't have a chance to reproduce the problem. From my point of view > the report can be closed. Ok, so I close this bug. If it occurs on some other pages feel free to reopen the bug.
