Bug 225896 is fixed since you can drag and drop mbox files, but also File->Open
would be good to have.
That is a Unix/berkeley .mbox file, btw (forgot to mention)

This doesn't depend on bug 225896, because these bugs are both front-end, and
this bug could also be fixed by an import function.
No longer depends on: 225896
This bug has been hanging around since Mozilla 1.7.3, perhaps earlier. Is there
no way to fix this and just open the file from the TEMP directory or where it
may be sitting? I am using an IMAP account and would like the functionality to
be irrespective of whether the user is on an IMAP or a POP client.
