Try again later, or contact the server administrator. This process worked with Mozilla 1.8a3 and currently works with IE 6.0. The Temp directory is not write-protected. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. login into a hotmail account 2. open a message with an attachment 3 [review]. try to Download File the attachment Actual Results: You receive the dialog box mentioned above. Expected Results: It should have downloaded the attachment as it did before. I've noticed a similar problem on a website that has PowerPoint files on it. If I click on a file then a similar dialog box appears. In that case I can Save Link Target As but that's a little inconvenient.

Ivan Prock: what is your status with this bug? Is it still a problem with current builds? I assume you're using an IMAP mail account; do you know the server type (Exchange, Cyrus, ...)?
Dup of bug 180672? If you add this in URL-bar and hit enter, then restart browser: javascript:navigator.plugins.refresh(true); ..can you then download files?
Dup of bug 265208? Reporter, can you confirm this bug on a more recent build?
This doesn't seem to be a dupe of either of the two bugs mentioned, removing DUPEME keyword.

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01". This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code. While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug (given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more reproduction information if you have it. If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved. Thank you for your help in this matter. I have confirmed this bug. It needs to be reopened. When a link or button is clicked that downloads a file, every time an error message appears that says: C:\DOCUME~1\korohrer\LOCALS~1\Temp\ name of file Could not be saved, because the source file could not be read. Try again later, or contact the server administrator
Using what build?
The latest build. Ken (In reply to comment #9) > Using what build?
(In reply to comment #10) > The latest build. > Ken > > (In reply to comment #9) > > Using what build? > > There are a surprisingly large number of different builds people manage to think are the "latest". Can you provide a specific build ID? (Go to help->about and copy the string)
I can confirm that this bug has been fixed in build Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20051106 SeaMonkey/1.5a
