I know there's more important bugs out there (e.g. most of them) but the
about:mozilla text is quite a significant emblem for the Mozilla foundation.
Well, sort of.

Currently it's 7:15, but now the release date of 1.0 final has been confirmed it
should be updated to 11:9.

I don't think this is a duplicate of 233499 as that bug refers to the text, not
the date.

The date is part of the text. We're not updating it just because there's a new
release. Ofcourse, Ben could celebrate it with a new text, but that's his decision.
The date in the original Netscape about:mozilla was the release date of Netscape
1.0 final.
Therefore to keep with tradition Firefox should have the release date of 1.0
final in about:mozilla. After that it doesn't matter.
note that the original Netscape 1.0 concept was far different from the
about:mozilla that commemmorated the source release (3:31). 7:15 is important
as the day when Mozilla came into its own. Plus, we'd only change the date if
we had a new passage as well, since the current passage is from 7:15. ;)
