User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a4) Gecko/20040924
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a4) Gecko/20040924

downloaded Nightly Build 1.8.0.2004102604 and when I went to install it I go mssg:
mozilla.exe - unable to locate component. this application has failed to start
because xpcom_core.dll was not found. re-installing this application may fix
this problem.

I tried to re-install - same message - had to go back to my last good save i.e.
Nightly Build 1.8.0.2004092404 and it is OK.

tried to un-install FoxFire and re-boot and do Mozilla re-install - same error.

I am running a Dell G400 with WinXP Pro Corporate with SP1 and SP2 installed.

I have been a Mozilla User for quite a while and been in computers since 1962.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. download Mozilla Nightly Build 1.8.0.2004102604
2. do install after closing down all applications in tool bar
3. get error message

Actual Results:
receiver error message:
mozilla.exe - unable to locate component. this application has failed to start
because xpcom_core.dll was not found. re-installing this application may fix
this problem.

did windows explorer search and found "MISSING" file in:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\mozilla.org\GRE\1.8a5_2004102604\

Expected Results:
Good Install of Mozilla

I can be contacted at jsmith@ozarka.edu

I listed this as a BLOCKER as I can not install new versions of Mozilla.

BTW - Mozilla Nightly build - 27-oct-2004-09:49 DOES RUN even after error
message during install. previous one DID NOT. I will hold off using it till
the error message on install is cleared.
