After following the procedures located at
http://www.mozilla.org/projects/firefox/qa/softwareupdate.html to upgrade from
1.0PR to 1.0RC, Firefox always crashes after the update.  I had to install from
the self-extracting archive.

I am running Java J2SE 5.0.  The upgrade instructions indicated this problem may
occur due to Java issues.
