Extensions made for Firefox PR are marked FF0.10 whereas Firefox RC1 is 1.0. Extensions using 0.10 versioning won't work on a 1.0 browser. I am marking WONTFIX. Reporter, if you feel this was done in error, please reopen.

Dunno about the reporter, but I certainly feel it was done in error: the reporter said plain as day that it "is specified as suitable for installation to Firefox 1.0 RC1" u.m.o. lists it as RC1-compatible, but because it has a maxVersion of 0.10 *and* an updateURL that points to an update.rdf that doesn't override the maxVersion, it isn't installable in RC1. Remove the <em:updateURL> in install.rdf so that u.m.o's can take over, and it installs.

Since the update.rdf points away from UMO, and we have no control over it, i'm going to revert this back to being 0.10. ONce the update.rdf is fixed, the author is welcome to ask to have the Biobar 1.2.1 (Firefox) record re'up'ed to 1.0. (id=169, vid=944). CC'ing the author.

Thanks for the info..
I've modified update.rdf so that the maxVersion is now 1.0.
The update.rdf now reads
1.2.1 {ec8030f7-c20a-464f-9b0e-13a3a9e97384} 0.8 1.0
http://downloads.mozdev.org/biobar/biobar-firefox-v1.2.1.xpi
Do let me know if this is ok. Else I have absolutely no problems is getting rid
of the updateURL in the install.rdf for this application.
Thank you for all your efforts.

Have you had a chance to go back to this yet. I've corrected the problem with the update.rdf file. I would be grateful if you could update the umo pages as well for biobar ? thanks for your help - Jawahar (In reply to comment #4) > Thanks for the info.. > > I've modified update.rdf so that the maxVersion is now 1.0. > > The update.rdf now reads > > 1.2.1 {ec8030f7-c20a-464f-9b0e-13a3a9e97384} 0.8 1.0 > > http://downloads.mozdev.org/biobar/biobar-firefox-v1.2.1.xpi > > Do let me know if this is ok.
