i've noticed that the Tab bar is not allways visible. (note: i've set up Firefox
to open new windows in new tabs instead)

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Goto http://weblogs.mozillazine.org/asa/archives/006791.html
2. Click on the Trackback link
(http://weblogs.mozillazine.org/mt/track.cgi?__mode=view&entry_id=6791)
3. in the new window click on Lunar Ecplise (links to
http://weblog.wlkr.net/archives/000207.html)

Actual Results:  
the link is opened in a new Tab in the current window without showing the Tab Bar
ctrl-Tab works to switch between them and ctrl-w closes the tab

Expected Results:  
The Tab bar should be visible.
i tried to close the window and it asked me if i really want to close both tabs

Looks like you're running some custom extensions and themes. Maybe they break
something? Installing Firefox in clean directory with a clean profile will
exclude THOSE causes of the problem. Can you try that?

happens with a fresh profile too
i think its this setting

yes... still there with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de-DE;
rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041108 Firefox/1.0
