Changed summary to "Force links that open new windows to open in: - a new tab" should respect pref for "Select new tabs opened from links"
Summary: the option "select new tab opened" is not working when disabled → "Force links that open new windows to open in: a new tab" should respect pref for "Select new tabs opened from links"
Intentional. See bug 262537.

i think that when you guys change something like that, you should try to add options, not change behaviour

verifying won't fix. (This is actually invalid) The steps to reproduce in this bug do what they are supposed to. (simply clicking a link is not selecting to open it in a new tab) To get the link to obey the "Select new tabs opened from links" pref, you need to ctrl+click or context+click (select open in new tab). changed summary back to original. DanM, sorry about the noise. :-)

nevermind comment 8. The force pref is to open in a new tab. I'm over (err under) think this morning.
