the option "select new tab opened" is not working when disabled

i've disabled that option, and anyway, te tabs are not opening in the bakground
this started happening with the latest nigtlies

i also have the "force new windows in new tab" option

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. set force new windows to open in a new tab in the current window
2. unset "select new tab opened"
3. clik in any link that will open a new window

Actual Results:
the new tab opened, but in focus

Expected Results:
open the new tab in the background
I see this on linux fc2, too (2004102809-0.11). tracy is getting the regression
window info...

should respect pref for "Select new tabs opened from links"

i think that when you guys change something like that, you should try to add
options, not change behaviour

yes, we do
but nobody told me that browser.tabs.loadDivertedInBackground i could change that

but, great work anyway!!!!!!
verifying won't fix. (This is actually invalid)

The steps to reproduce in this bug do what they are supposed to. (simply
clicking a link is not selecting to open it in a new tab)

To get the link to obey the "Select new tabs opened from links" pref, you need
to ctrl+click or context+click (select open in new tab).

changed summary back to original.

DanM, sorry about the noise. :-)

nevermind comment 8. The force pref is to open in a new tab. I'm over (err
under) think this morning.
