In Mac version of Firefox 1.0 RC1 pressing Command+Q (Cmd+Q) should close
application (just like any other foreground application running on MacOSX). It
doesn't work with this release of Firefox. It works with previous 0.9.3.
The only way to close application is to Force Quit.
My system: MacOSX 10.3.5 + most recent security updates

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Firefox 1.0RC1 for MacOSX
2. Press Cmd+Q
3.

Actual Results:  
Nothing! And this is the problem.

Expected Results:  
Quit.

I also had the problem, but since not many other people have had the problem, I
tried it with a clean profile and, and the problem disappeared. Next, I copied
back my old profile and disabled all of my extensions. After relaunching
Firefox, The Quit command still worked, so after a process of elimination, I
found that Download Statusbar (0.9.0) was causing the problem. Keeping only that
disabled solved the issue.

Ryan Johnson you're a genius, this problem really really annoyed me!, but
disabling Download Statusbar extension completely fixed it!
