When installer has to stop this way, the end-user is not informed on what has
been done or not : this makes perplexed.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:

F: 160 MB free
- This version of Firefox (1.0 RC1) is not yet installed.
- You can reproduce this bug with firefox-1.0.en-US.win32.installer.exe or a
localized version.

1. Run installer
2. Accept Agreement
3. Choose costum Setup Type
4. Choose to install in an empty directory (on drive F:)
5. (Components are checked and cannot be unchecket)
6. Uncheck shortcuts
7. It says "Currently installing Firefox Browser", then it prompts a window
showing the error -235 with a message.
Klick OK this.

Actual Results:
The installer windows stays unchanged.

Can we move this to core as Bug #313247 shows the same problem for Thunderbird?
David, can you comment on this?
Version: unspecified → 1.0 Branch
Changing to core, since this appears to also happen to thunderbird (and probably happens to Seamonkey also, although I haven't checked yet)
Not sure which installer component this belongs in, leaving in Core/General for triage.

does that make this bug obsolete
Flags: needinfo?(robert.bugzilla)
Yes. When I tried to obsolete many of the old installer bugs I got significant pushback from an active community member and chose to go fight other battles instead of closing bugs that were no longer applicable.
