No action in all web pages I've tried. Mouse is USB connected. Side & bottom scroll bars work fine; up/down & side arrow keys also work as expected. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Go to a web page longer than a screen height (in Firefox) and use the scroll wheel. 2.Nothing happens. 3. Actual Results: As above. Expected Results: Should scroll (vertically).

Did you try with the latest logitech mouse drivers?
I too have this problem. I shall attempt to provide additional details: I have a Windows XP machine with both a cordless Logitech mouse (MX700) and cordless Logitech trackball (TrackMan FX). The mouse (and cordless keyboard) is plugged into the PS2 port, the trackball is in the USB port. The trackball is set with a button configured as "Universal Scroll". It has no effect in Forefox 1.0, 1.0PR, or 1.0RC (the three I tested; I didn't look earlier). The scroll wheel on the mouse works fine in at least the 1.0 release (I have not tested it in older versions). Both the trackball/"Universal Scroll" and the mouse scroll wheel work fine in Mozilla 1.7.3 (all on the same machine). I have updated to the latest Logitech drivers, to no avail. A seperate machine, running Windows 2000 and Firefox 1.0PR with a Microsoft wheel mouse also works fine. While I know very little about Windows programming, I am wondering if perhaps Logitech's "universal scroll" sends a slightly different event than the normal scroll wheel?

on mac os x 10.2.8 when scrolling with scroll wheel - Logitec Trackman - the web page will repeat one portion of page, a dozen or more times - it eventually catches up.
The Universal Scroll Feature in Logitech's Windows Moused drivers do not work in Mozilla applications. The middle mouse button works, but this does not work in many windows applications, including Photoshop. Basically, this is the biggest drawback for Mozilla on Windows in my opinion.
With previous editions of FF my logitech wireless scroll function worked OK on my XP platform. Lately it stopped working so I bought another Logitech mouse.---same problem. Logitech says it is FF's "pointing system" that is causing the problem. Their new "setpoint" driver that is meant to fix the problem will not download with FF's filters It looks like some folks are just going to have to go back to IE. What a same.

Do you still see this problem using Firefox 3.5? Please update the bug, and close/alter bug if appropriate.

No reply, INCO. Please reopen if you are seeing this in Firefox 3.5.2 or later in Firefox safe mode and a new profile with the latest plugins. http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Profiles
