Details

I have set thunderbird to show only unread mail and to mark mails read after 10s of preview. So if I read a mail in the preview pane for more than 10 seconds, it will be marked "read" and at the same time the summary line in the upper pane will disappear. The result is that I cannot reply or delete the mail that is displayed in the lower pane. (BTW: It would be nice if I could specify "show only unread" on a per folder basis)
I cannot reproduce this. Sorry.

try a newer .8 build - this was fixed.
