User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040910
Build Identifier: (Firefox RC1)

Immediately upon running, Firefox RC1 is unresponsive on my computer. This
manifests itself in two ways. Sometimes the interface does not completely
appear. Right now, for instance, I'm looking at the Firefox window, and nothing
appears to the left of the address box. The toolbar below that it also blank.
No matter what I click on, nothing happens. Sometimes, however, the program's
interface does seem to load completely. In that case when I type in an address
and press enter, nothing happens. If I select an item from a menu then the
program locks completely, and I have to end the task to exit the program.

I have used previous versons of Firefox without this problem. I have also been
using the Mozilla suite (now 1.7.3) for well over a year. I have uninstalled
and reinstalled Firefox with no success.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
Nothing special. The program always fails immediately upon running.
Fixed the problem by deleting my Firefox profile directory and creating a new
profile.
