http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/start appears to check for security
updates and then just redirects to http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox. This
is a problem, because the http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox page has a
link in big text to "Download Now". I work at a computer repair shop and we
install Mozilla Firefox on every system that comes into our shop but do not
change the home page if it is was pointing in IE to MSN.com, the IE default. We
receive several phone calls a month with people asking if they need to download
Firefox when they run it because of this large link telling them to Download
Now. This link should be removed either using server-side browser detection and
replaced with something else or http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/start
should redirect to another page.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start Firefox with all security patches installed and with the homepage set
to the default.
Actual Results:
Redirect to http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox where there is a large link
to "Download Now".

Expected Results:
Display a "Welcome to Firefox" splash with instructions on how to change the
start page, or direct to a version of http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox
without the large "Download Now" link.

I see only a "Free Download" link in the upper right corner. Please change
component to webmaster@mozilla.org.
-> INVALID
Firefox 1.0 will have its own start page (w/o the download link), but I'm too
lazy to find the bug number now...

Apologies for my error, I meant 'Free Download'. Thank you Daniel Wang for the
prompt response.
