User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041001 Firefox/0.10.1
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041001 Firefox/0.10.1

When visiting a page such as the one listed above, or any with multiple flash
objects on the pages, it seems to cause Firefox to eat up all the CPU resources.
I noticed this because it caused my CPU fan to turn on, which happens when the
CPU heats up due to heavy workload. I checked the task manager and Firefox shows
that it is using anywhere between 60-100% of the CPU.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. visit website with lots of Flash animation (such as gamespot.com)
2. scroll through the page
3. check CPU utilization

Actual Results:
System slows down to almost a crawl

Expected Results:
Not use up so much of the CPU resources

it did not cause the software to crash, but caused the system to run
unreasonably slow. My system is a 1.5ghz P4, 512mb RAM, so I doubt that is the issue

Firefox/0.9.1+

This is a dup. There are several similar reports and I suspect at least 2
distinct problems.
Is the CPU used by firefox or Flash?
