Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/124 (KHTML, like Gecko) Safari/125.1 Build Identifier: When I receive a JPEG file, It does nto open inline and also it does nto open when I click on it. It asks me to specify an application to open the file with, but then will not allow me to specify the application I want. I must save the file to the desktop and then open the file from the desktop Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Jpeg file is received, but not displayed inline. Try and click on it to open it and tells me to select an application to open it 2.Search for application, but find it is grayed out and so unable to select it 3. Expected Results: Software should allow you to see the JPEG files inline and also when you click on the file, it should be displayed

I suspect this is the same problem as bug 108186 -- the sender's software has given that .JPG file a MIME type of application/octet-stream rather than image/jpg. Mozilla doesn't rely on the extension to determine the file type, in part because Mozilla is used on many platforms; whereas the sender probably is using some Microsoft thingy to send the mail out.
Tbird 1.0, OSX 10.3.latest, JPEGs (attached as image/jpeg) display just fine. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 108186 ***
